After moving to Salem, Massachusetts, teenager Max Dennison explores an abandoned house with his sister Dani and their new friend, Alison. There, Alison tells a story about the house, which Max dismisses as superstition. Not believing the story, Max accidentally releases a coven of evil witches who have been living in the house for years. With the help of a magical cat, the kids must steal the witches' spellbook to prevent them from becoming immortal.
