Aqara Motion Sensor P1: Upgraded Motion Sensor

The Aqara P1 Motion Sensor detects motion and ambient light conditions. If motion or a change in lighting is detected, the sensor sends a notification to the Aqara Home app via the connected Aqara Zigbee 3.0 Hub or activates other devices.

• Customizable Detection Timeout: Set the detection timeout from 1 to 200 seconds by simply pressing the device button. (Note: reducing the detection timeout reduces battery life).

• Compatibility with All Ecosystems: Supports the most popular smart home ecosystems such as HomeKit, Alexa, IFTTT, and more. Support for Matter will be available as an OTA update of Aqara hubs after the official release of the specification.
• 170° Detection Angle: With a viewing angle of 170° for up to 2 meters and 150° for up to 7 meters. The viewing angle can be adjusted to detect only the desired area.
• Adjustable Sensitivity: Adjust the sensor sensitivity to reduce false alarms and make installation easier.
• Built-in Light Sensor: Use it to control lights more efficiently.
• Smart Home Automations: Use it to activate various automations, such as turning on the lights or opening the curtains.

Automations:

1. Fully Automated Lighting Control

   • If motion is detected in the dark, the sensor will trigger the smart wall switch to turn on the lights.
   • If no motion is detected for a long period of time, the switch will turn off the lights.

2. Bed Presence Detection

   • Install the sensor above the bed, adjust the angle and sensitivity, and automatically activate the "night scene".

3. Easy and Instant Night Lighting Control

   • Thanks to the built-in light sensor, the sensor can turn on the night light when you get up at night.
